Norway Festivals and Events

Festivals in the dark of winter and in the endless light of summer.

Norwegians make the most of both extremes of their year. In the dark months, Tromso holds an international film festival and a classical and contemporary music festival, and Oslo's Holmenkollen ski jump hosts world-class competition. In May, the whole country celebrates Constitution Day with children's parades, brass bands and national costumes. Summer brings outdoor music festivals, food festivals and midsummer bonfires on the shore.

For regional events, check the official calendars below or Visit Norway. Many festivals sell out, so book tickets and rooms early.
